About Us
Written in Metal is an Australian born small business, founded by husband and wife, Hayden Smith and Jessica Smith.
Hayden is an athlete, who competed for Australia in the Four-man Bobsleigh at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics.
Jessica is an established jewellery designer and artist who has worked with well-known Australian Brands including Samantha Wills, Bailey Nelson and Mimco.
Upon returning home from the Olympics, we realised there were limited options for Australian Olympic jewellery available to athletes. We decided to create Written in Metal, a brand of beautifully crafted and classic jewellery that is available exclusively to all Australian Olympians.
We hope the pieces are kept close to you as a daily reminder of your accomplishments and that they may help you share a part of your story. The pieces are also aimed to connect all Australian Olympians, present and future.
